This position coordinates and implements all activities at an assigned childcare site. The Site Coordinator I is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, well-supervised and enriching atmosphere for all youth participants. The Site Coordinator I ensures the program is well received by principal, faculty, YMCA program leaders, volunteers, program participants and their parents. This position works closely with the Assistant Director and Director of Youth Development on weekly program updates.  

The Youth Development Director supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Youth Development Director is responsible for creating a culture of Achievement, Relationships, and Belonging for every youth within our programs. The Youth Development Director will oversee all aspects of the afterschool program, managing two assistant directors, 15 afterschool sites and maintaining a positive relationship with schools, staff and other YMCA departments.  

Under the guidance of the Site Coordinator, the After-School Program Assistant is responsible for planning, leading, and executing a wide variety of quality programs and activities for youth in the afterschool setting that are aimed at raising their academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being. Along with other program leaders, this group of employees performs and interacts with the youth in every aspect of their afterschool experience.
